Guidelines and Rates for Registration:

1. Which event(s) would you like to join?

The Conference and the Convergence are two distinct events. Please know that Conference is open to all. You can participate in the Convergence if you have successfully completed a standard Permaculture Design Course (PDC) or are referred by a permaculture practitioner.

2. What are the requirements to apply as a Volunteer?

We offer discounted fee to participants that are willing to volunteer during one of the event: either Conference or Convergence. To know more about different volunteering opportunities, please visit this link.

You will be required to work for a four-hour shift during the event and full time for a specific number of days before the event as follow:

  • Conference volunteers are required to report for volunteering from November 23, 2017 morning until the end of the event on November 26, 2017. If you wish to attend the Convergence, regular participation rate will apply.
  • Convergence volunteers will need to arrive at the Convergence venue about four to seven days in advance. In general, Convergence volunteers will not be able to attend the Conference.

If you want to join the heat of the action and contribute making this event a great success, we invite you to fill in the Volunteer Application form first, under the Category of 'Event Volunteer'. Once your volunteering application is approved, you will be provided guidelines for Registration.

If event volunteers are unable to reach on the reporting date, the registration as 'volunteer' will stand cancelled. They can then attend the event only by paying the balance fee for regular participation. Last date for application is June 30, 2017. Approved applicants must register within one month of approval of application. Limited tickets are available.

3. What is the registration cost?

Please see the rate card below for detailed information about registration (including discount) & accommodation fees. Meals during the event are included in the registration fee. Fee given in US dollars applies to International participants while fee given in Indian rupees applies to Indian participants. Registration fee is inclusive of Service Tax.

For the additional days that you will volunteer prior to the event, the organizers will provide accommodation and meals.

The sooner you register, you can avail additional discount in fee as specified in the Early, Regular rates.

If you would like to bring your children along to the event, registration fee per child (3 to 12 years of age) is 50% of the regular fee for adults. If you require a separate bed for the child's accommodation, standard rates apply.

Indian volunteers also have the option of paying the fees via NEFT or Demand Draft:

  • Demand Draft should be made in favour of: "Aranya Agricultural Alternatives - IPC" payable at Hyderabad. Fill the application form, download and save it.

Send your filled-registration form and NEFT details or DD to the IPC India Office, Flat No 401, Sony Sai Kuteer, Thyagaraya Nagar, Kothapet, Hyderabad 500035. You can also email the registration form and NEFT details to registrations@ipcindia2017.org

Cancellation and refunds are allowed in exceptional cases subject to deductions viz. service tax remitted to Government of India and payment gateway charges paid. Cancellation fee is 25% of the registration fee and accommodation amount, whichever applicable. The balance will be refunded in the participant's account in 15 days of cancellation.

4. What is the next step?

Once we receive the registration form (complete in all respects) and the fee is credited in the account, you will receive an email confirming your participation along with your Registration Number. Please quote this number in all subsequent communications. If you are coming from a foreign country, the IPC Office will email you closer to the event an invitation letter that may be required for visa.

5. Miscellaneous information

The main language of sessions at the Conference and Convergence will be English. Translation facility in Hindi and Telugu will be provided in the Main Hall during the Conference.

There may be differences in the rates mentioned in US dollars and Indian rupees. This is due to factors such as exchange rate fluctuations. We thank you for your understanding.
